It is sciatic, Melissa. She's suppossed to start therapy pretty soon, waiting on the Workman's Comp to go through. If that doesn't work, it'll be time for stronger measures. I'm hoping the therapy works! A long shot yes, but I don't want her down with surgery! She's supossed to come see me this spring.
Grapedy, oh, I hope she gets better soon! Thankfully, the sciatic nerve can often heal without surgery. I was able to do physical therapy exercises at home, and that was all I needed to do (and continue, to try and avoid re-injury). I think doctors tend to hold off on surgery since sciatic nerve injuries often get better on their own. I hope she will be able to heal on her own, without surgery!
